WHAT IS A TEAM?
A team consists of all of your employees or members of your organization. All must be employees/members of the business which they represent. Spouses and dependents of employees are encouraged to participate as well.
Teams will compete in divisions according to the number of people employed by their company. Six divisions will be formed based on the size of the organization.
- Division I 1-25 employees
- Division II 26-50 employees
- Division III 51-200 employees
- Division IV 201+500 employees
- Division V 500+ employees

A. Fee includes:
- Open registration to all employees, spouses and dependents for all of the Fitness Challenge events.
- Free initial and final body composition analysis for employees (up to two hours per & post test).
- Participation and team information packets.
- Individual and team awards.
- Look Great In ‘08 Fitness Challenge awards for the division champs.
B. Teams may choose to incur additional costs:
- Additional Fitness Challenge T-shirts $9.00 ea.
- Costs of incentives to promote participation. Typical incentives include but are not limited to gift certificates, massage certificates, paid days off, anything else you can imagine that will motivate.
C. Team t-shirts. Although not a necessary costs it is fun to see team unit and build commroadier.

HOW TO INVOLVE YOUR EMPLOYEES:
• TEAM CAPTAIN(S). The team captain is the one person who can get employees fired up about the Look Great In ‘08 Fitness Challenge. Choose someone who is an excellent organizer and communicator and has an enthusiastic personality. They do not necessarily need to be a sports oriented person, but often those who regularly participate in some sort of athletic activity are more apt to be excited about the program. A co-captain or two representing a specific department or branch would help reach all employees.
Getting the word out!
- Contestants from THURSTON COUNTY businesses and families only.
- Lacey Adventure Boot Camp employees and members of their immediate family are not eligible to enter.
- You must be at least 18 years of age (to be eligible to win a prize) at the time you enter the contest. However, family members may participate without any age restrictions. Consult a qualified medical doctor before beginning any weight training, diet, or fitness program. All contestants assume all risks associated with participating in the contest. Participants and their Trainers agree to release and hold harmless Lacey Boot Camp, its officers, directors, employees and agents, and all judges, of any and all liability from loss, risk, damage, or injury that may occur from participating in the Look Great in 08 Fitness Challenge.
- You must be 100% drug-free to compete in the Look Great In '08 Fitness Challenge.
- All winners will be notified by mail, e-mail, phone, or in person. The winners will also be announced at the April Lacey Chamber Forum.
- Incomplete registration packets may render the contestant disqualified, so please submit your packages after you have carefully checked it. Lacey Boot Camp, LLC is not responsible for lost, damaged, or incomplete entries.
- Lacey Boot Camp reserves the right to amend the rules or change prizes. In the event of any changes, the grand prize will be of equal or greater value. Prizes are nontransferable. Prizes subject to availability.
- All judges' decisions are final. Winners to be determined at judges' discretion.
- Participation in this contest grants Lacey Boot Camp the irrevocable license to use the name, testimonial, diet, workout, pic tures, and any other information related to the contestants participation in the contest for promotional and advertising purposes. All information and materials submitted become sole and exclusive property of Lacey Boot Camp. Participants' scores are confiden tial and will not be disclosed.
- Winners will receive a certificate suitable for framing.
- Contestants and their trainers who participate in the contest agree that their relationship is independent of Lacey Boot Camp and the Look Great In '08 Fitness Challenge.
- Contestants and their trainers agree to indemnify Lacey Boot Camp and the Look Great In '08 Fitness Challenge , their officers, directors, employees, agents, and all judges (collectively "Lacey Boot Camp") for all legal costs, including attorneys fees, in the event that Lacey Boot Camp is named in, or threatened to be named in, any lawsuit, arbitration, mediation, or other legal or equitable action arising from their participation in the contest.
- Reasons for disqualification include (but are not limited to):
Incomplete Entry
Missing or Improper Pictures
Missing receipts
Missing Contest Deadlines
Lost Entry
Invalid Contact Information
- Measure of Body Composition is performed by using the OMRON Fat Loss Monitor HBF-306 or applying the Skin-fold method with Lang Calipers at 3 sites on the body. The body composition of each team member will be totaled and averaged to give the team one score. The same method will be used for the final score. The winning team will be determined based the percent of improvement during the 8-week period (Jan 1, 2008 – February 28, 2008). Other Body Composition methods may be used if necessary or under unforeseen circumstances. Upon the approval of the Lacey Boot Camp Challenge Staff.
- The primary objective of the Challenge is to lose fat and gain muscle. If a team shows a loss of muscle at the end of the 12-week period, even if only one member of the team loses muscle, it will affect the entire team and therefore, the team will not be eligible to win. Therefore, it is recommended to lose fat slowly and carefully to spare muscle tissue. Follow the NEW & IMPROVED Lacey Adventure Boot Camp program journal provided in the goody bag.
- TEAM Photos must be emailed to the Lacey Adventure Boot Camp staff either one before or after the weigh-in and weigh-out. Make sure a Team Name Sign is positioned in front of the members using a white sign with Large Font Bold Letters to maximize resolution.
- Contestants will be measured at the predetermined weigh-in locations.
- Only the Lacey Boot Camp Staff, Trainers or authorized personnel are authorized to measure contestants, unless approved by an authorized representative of the Lacey Boot Camp Fitness Challenge.
- All contestants agree to hold harmless Lacey Adventure Boot Camp, any and all companies or sponsors linked to the Lacey Adventure Boot Camp Fitness Challenge of any and all liability from loss or injury that may occur from participating in the Lacey Adventure Boot Camp Fitness Challenge.
- If there is a tie, the winning teams have the option of extending the Challenge for an additional 4 weeks to compete between the winning teams only, or share the prize between the winning teams.
- For the "Grand Prize Winner (Overall Division Champion)" a cash refund for cost of Lacey Boot Camp and the Look Great In '08 Fitness Challenge registration will be awarded.
